Troubleshooting Clash of Clans Codes

Clash of Clans codes can stop working at any time. Here are the most common reasons a code might fail and how to fix each one:

• The code has expired. Codes are often time-limited — some expire within 24 hours of release. If a code isn’t working, it may have already expired. We mark codes as expired as soon as we confirm them.
• Codes are case-sensitive. For Clash of Clans, this game enforces exact capitalization — "FreEGeMs" won’t work if typed as "freegems". Copy the code directly from our list to avoid mistakes.
• Already redeemed. Codes are single-use. If you’ve redeemed a code before — even months ago — it’s permanently claimed on your account and can’t be used a second time.
• Wrong redemption screen. Codes need to be entered at a specific location: Supercell ID -> Redeem a Store Code. Trying to redeem from a different menu or screen won’t work.
• Platform or region mismatch. With versions on iOS, Android, not every code works across all platforms. Double-check that the code applies to the version you’re playing.
• Check your in-game mail. Rewards don’t always appear on screen right away. Check your in-game mailbox, gift center, or inbox after redeeming — items are often delivered there instead.
• Update required. New codes are sometimes tied to the latest game version. If a brand-new code isn’t working, make sure your client is fully updated.
