While the aesthetic leans heavily into gritty supernatural folklore and Taoist magic, the actual gameplay loop sticks closely to the familiar idle-RPG blueprint.You'll spend your time building a squad from five distinct factions (Mortals, Fiends, the Nether, Celestials, and Demonic) and letting them loose in 3x-speed auto-battles. It features some fun thematic twists—like brewing alchemy elixirs, collecting coin-swords, and even raising adorable little zombies as "Ghost Deputies" to buff your team. Rather than generic knights or mages, you are summoning figures from Chinese folklore, like Zhong Kui, the Monkey King, and Jiangchen the Zombie King. Finding the right synergies among the five factions and outfitting them with Taoist relics is crucial for overcoming the harder challenge modes.
Do I need to play it actively?
Not necessarily. The game actively embraces idle mechanics with offline Quick Training, allowing your Warlock and Ghost Deputies to gather experience and level up while your phone is in your pocket.
