What is Haunted Room: Sleep Survivor?

Haunted Room: Sleep Survivor is a newly released, horror-themed casual tower defense RPG published by Joy Net Games (often listed as Joy Nice Games on Android). Functioning as a high-production spin on the viral "Haunted Dorm" genre, the game drops players into various mundane locations—like schools, hospitals, and hotels—that have been overrun by urban legends. The core gameplay loop is simple: you choose an empty room, close the door, go to sleep in the bed to generate resources, and use those resources to upgrade your door and summon chibi-style gothic heroes to build a defensive line. While it boasts visually charming 2D animations and fast 5-minute match times, the progression relies heavily on a standard gacha system where you summon and upgrade a roster of over 100 distinct characters. It is an incredibly fun, low-stress arcade experience, provided you are prepared for the VIP monetization ecosystem typical of modern mobile hero-collectors.

How do you get Hero Pacts?

Hero Pacts are used for summoning characters in the Hero Summon. Hero Pacts can be earned through gift codes, spending money, in-game events, diamond pack bundles, and more. The fastest way to get Hero Pacts is to collect Diamonds (earned from winning levels, events, and more) and purchasing diamond pack bundles in events or completing Infinity Train levels.

How does summoning work?

One summon costs either 250 diamonds (earned in-game or through purchasing) or 1x Hero Pact. Summons have a 64% chance of a purple hero (common), 25% chance of a orange hero (rare), 10% chance of a red hero, 0.2% of a room or hero skin, 0.1% of a random avatar skin or red curio. Summons are also offered through events, so look out for Hero Pacts or diamonds. There is a pity system, where after 100 luck (100 summons), you can select 3 red heroes and get one randomly.

How do you level up heroes?

Heroes can be leveled up in two ways: upgrading your hero slot and promotions. Your hero slots are shown in the character tab, where you can upgrade them with Soul Flames. These levels apply to all heroes in that slot. Promotion can be used by collecting hero shards (found via summoning). These provide stat bonuses to heroes.
