MementoMori: AFKRPG is a free-to-play 2D idle role-playing game developed by Bank of Innovation, Inc., released globally in late 2022. Every "Witch" (the game's collectible characters) comes with her own fully produced theme song—known as a "Lament"—sung by high-profile vocalists and voice actors, which plays dynamically based on your team composition. However, beneath the stunning audiovisual presentation lies a very traditional, hands-off auto-battler. The gameplay consists entirely of assembling a team of five Witches and watching them auto-attack enemy portraits. Progressing through the campaign yields resources like Gold and EXP Orbs over time, even while offline. Because the game lacks active combat mechanics, your progression is dictated entirely by raw Combat Power (CP) and elemental synergies, which eventually leads to massive, frustrating difficulty walls that require heavy gacha investments to overcome.
